I need to replace my ‘81 Pearson 323 mast

Hello all, first time posting...

Can anyone help me to identify a complete Mast size specification on this standard production boat, Hull# 319

Would really appreciate this as mine snapped in two places during last weeks Nor'easter......would also appreciate any information leading to a used, complete mast with shrouds included.......

Thanks

Re: I need to replace my ‘81 Pearson 323 mast

I will take photos of the Mast over the next 3-4 days or so as my mast is broken, hanging above the boat next to me, snapped and then the rest hanging over a fence.

A couple previous photos added

A crane has been called in.

Thanks
Nick

This company is usually difficult to deal with, sometimes impossible, but they do have a lot of knowledge about the spars used by Pearson.

I cannot take another phone call with them, you just go in clircles. They are 20 miles from my home and i'm sure I will make out better in person!

Thanks for your reply

1) Consider an internal sleeve with counter sunk screws to repair the break.
2) Call Buzz Ballenger at Ballenger Spats for a new mast complete with all new standing rigging.

Nick;
There is a marine salvage business in Quincy, MA that has some Pearson parts, I know at one time they had an entire 10M including the rig.
You might try searching the archives of the Pearson-Boats google group.

Yes, thanks called Quincy and they have nothing.

I did call RigRite again, and they have no store...and it seems like someone working from home and they were not helpful at all on my mast? There was nothing of any value offered to me. I need to go on a Pearson Owner site and try to get the exact length of my mast, and I have never measured it!
