furler question

hi all,need abrains trust.fitting a profurl c350 .I have installed a 300 mm plate from the deck to turnbuckle[to help clear anchor ].iam wanting to secure the furling drum to top of turnbuckle instead of deckside of turnbuckle.reason 1,i can adjust forestay easier/ican set the antiwrap on the forestay at ground before mast is raised[no going up mast].has any one have thoughts on this issue regards greg

Would that put all the twisting moment on the cotter pin?

hi guy thanks for your reply ,same way of fastening furler and forestay just hooking topside of turnbuckle not deckside. cheers greg
