Experience in Jury- Rig of Ketch

My ketch was in the lagoon at St Maarten for Irma. The deck is now clear with the exception of the mizzen. The mizzen does have a slight twist in it but is usable.

I am considering motoring it to Florida and would like to be able to have a sailing option. In addition to the mizzen I would need some sort of foresail. One option might be to run a stay from the bow to the top of the mizzen mast. I could then hank on a yankee jib and end up with something like a lateen (??)

Has anybody out there ever dealt with a problem like this?

Down wind all the way to Florida, you don't need yankee jib IMO. A couple of boomed jibs or smaller spinnakers maybe? And it'd works better if the mast was as fore rigged where the main used to be.
