'EasyGybe' Boom Brake

I was at the Stockholm boat show on the weekend and saw "Easygybe" on display and when watching the video thought it was an interesting idea and worth sharing.

From what I can work out, it does not seem to be on the market just yet.

Looks interesting - I wonder if it needs to be used with a rigid boom vang? The part I like is that it does not seem to clutter the place up with a lot of lines.

Have the dutchman on my other boat.. LOVE it. going to replace the gybe easy on my Ohlson with the dutchman this year.

I have the Dutchman but would have rather had a Walder but they are a bit spendy. Boom Brake Walder
The dutchman just has a little back lash that is resolved in the Walder with the tension arms (wires). But I'm planning to manufacture some tension arms for my dutchman.

I thought that but the guy standing at the top of the hill with the hand held was taking the readings for the manufacturers....

I've been looking at the web site. Seems the smallest they make is more than big enough for my boat. Don't know who you consider first offer at this point, but I'd like it. How often do you make it to the mainland?
