I'm with Sailmonkey on this one. Sod's Law tells me that if you run two lines through the ring, you will get one binding over the other at the worst possible time

Here is a sketch of my arrangement for a 50' sloop. I just re-did the sketch and took a photo, so quality is poor. I can adjust with the forward cockpit sheet winch, but usually the jib sheet will be eased for reefing of the sail, so the adjustment line can be hand tightened. I will mark the lines for the reef position(s). This set up is much lighter than a roller car and multi-part tackle.

And when that sheet is not in use or your sheet angle needs to be aft you have Hardware and line hanging around to foul something at an inopportune time. Like a Squall in the horizon. Keep it simple (KISS) and use a snatch block and Barber-hauler. If that takes too much energy then maybe....no I won't go there.

That belongs in my other thread. Looks very cool and very similar to what I am doing. Are you finding 2:1 purchase enough? Do you like the way it works?
