Re: Does RigRite Inc Exist? In search of Amiot parts

I purchased from them twice earlier in the year and had no issues either time.

Try Rekord in Canada for moonlight parts.

Re: Does RigRite Inc Exist? In search of Amiot parts

Worst customer service of any sailing related parts supplier ever.
Some discussions took months for an answer and if you call without a catalog number, forget it. They want you to pick a catalog number before they'll talk to you which is tough when you need something that's not in their limited catalog.
Good luck and don't hold your breath.

Re: Does RigRite Inc Exist? In search of Amiot parts

I also found communicating very difficult but after multiple phone calls I did get through. Prices are high and ultimately found better sources for the rigging parts I needed. One year when I was driving by Rig Rites location in Rhode Island, I drove by their street address; it was an abandoned commercial building! Nobody home. So just a phone number....

Re: Does RigRite Inc Exist? In search of Amiot parts

I truly wish I'd had a good experience, but sadly no. Not at all. The website promotes itself on the basis that Kenyon has produced damn near any spar, and continues to support em all.

Now if you know the part number you want, you may be able to find it on the site. But if you don't, want advice in identifying your part and number, forget it. Let's face it, most of us are in the second category.

In my case I just wanted to know if the 1975 Bristol was supplied by them at manufacture, and second sent them a pic of an older Erickson gooseneck that my buddy needed, hoping for a part number(s) for both.

My call was returned but their only answer was - measure your mast/boom, giving all dimensions, etc. and only then could they answer. My email - with pic - was never answered. It is fair to say the person I spoke with was short and uninformative. The call lasted seconds.

As if I was going to take down the boom and mast to measure them before even knowing whether the parts were available.

This is not the experience I've had with many other manufacturers and supplier, most of whom are more than willing to help you do business with them, solve problems and make a new happy customer.
