Does my T-ball look crooked to you?

I was pulling out my rigging pieces for my silent stay addition, and for the first time, noticed the T-ball fitting I bought in Grenada (new) looked crooked.

In my view, this isn't an issue because the T shouldn't be load bearing. But I am by no means a rigging expert. What are your thoughts?

I think I’ve seen more of them like that than I haven’t.

I have not seen any. Is it a design feature, then?

Like boatpoker said, it’s not really a “feature” rather sloppy metalworking practices.

Wonderful. If they can't get the T straight, I wonder if I can trust the weld.

Ryban, it may be made that way so that the shroud leads properly from it. Our T-ball fittings are different, but had to be bent in a press to lead correctly. Sorry to not know more about yours.
