Does Bare Alloy Stain Sails

We are stripping the last of the paint off our mast and we wanted to know if anyone with bare alloy spars has any issues with them leaving stains on their sails?

Re: Does Bare Alloy Stain Sails

Bare spreaders will leave a grey mark on your mainsail over time from sailing downwind with the sail up against the spreader....however, so will a painted spreader if it's not washed occassionally (if you live in a populated area). i dont think it is a big concern.
