Deck step mast base drain ?

About to set the mast base for a deck step mast. I have 1 inch pvc conduit penetrating the deck with all the wiring and plan to embed 1 1/4 pvc into deck to insert the one inch down into it. I think this will prevent any water coming down the penetration in the deck.

So the question i what's the best way to drain the water that comes down the mast from the head , halyard slots ect. Big boat 55ft , big mast 56ft. One drain to deck? Two, one each side? How big ? Under the base, drill through the base ?

Any suggestions appreciated, Brad
