PEREGRINA is cutter rigged, with a 120% jib. Going to tight windward we rarely use the staysail, crack off a bit and the staysail - which is on a furler -makes a difference. Where the staysail does the best is motorsailing, and in heavy weather, flying alone If I were getting a new jib sail probably a 110 - cut a bit higher. I think Code Zeros are useful - The Peregrine Sea: Adding a Code Zero - we have one on a two part halyard, that we can use board off or as tight in as a very close reach. We just added a "Bast Reacher" for heavier air.
