None of the Norseman fittings that I have used have any such part. However, Sta-Lok fittings do indeed have what they call a "former" that is as you describe.
I believe that the "cupple" is a Navtek part, used with their stemball mast
fittings. The West catalog is pretty vague about them, but it does show the stemballs with a separate cup fitting that acts as a bearing surface between the terminal and the mast
So, to reuse your Norseman fittings, only a new cone is required... plus a careful cleaning
of the insides of the fitting to remove any old sealant
