Creative Cunningham Ideas....

Hi Gang,

I just bought a slightly used main and though it generally fits well, I am seeking ideas on rigging a Cunningham.

As you can see at the 20 second mark in the video, I lowered the boom from the mast to Crossbeam to accommodate the longer luff. I built the new boom out of a Hobie mast. But that longer luff has created another issue, I need room in there for at least a 4:1 Cunningham.

Any ideas come to mind? I think the solution needs to stay on the mast to allow it to freely rotate. The mast is composite - fiberglass over aircraft ply and thus some planning/ glasswork is needed before adding fasteners.
