Contender radial sailcloth limits
Does anyone know why Contender limits their Premium Radial sailcloth for fully battened mainsails to 8.5 ounces? They publish a PDF brochure which shows they make it in a heavier version but the last table clearly limits the use of the sailcloth for mainsails to boats up to 40ft and not heavier than 8.5 ounces.

I've had a Doyle rep recommend using the 9.5 ounce version for a 40ft cat mainsail and I am not comfortable given the company's published limits.
