CDI FF2 Genoa furling

Hi all.

I'm new to your site. It looks GREAT !

I sail in Montreal, Canada.

I just purchased a 2002 MacGregor 26 X with CDI FF2 foresail furling.

I'm trying to figure out the halyard system.

The manual says I have to attach a messenger line to the end of the halyard coming out at the base or the furler.

It says to swage the messenger line to a metal ferrule tube which I don't have.

Where can I get one and how do I attach the messenger line to it so that it will fit into the slot.?
