Catalina 42 forestay

I am replacing the rigging on my Catalina 42 which has a Hood furler
and had the following message from my rigger

If you are still running the Hood 3250 furler the cones for the lower end fitting are obsolete and not longer available; unfortunately new style cones will not work

He went on to say that the only way out was a new furler at $$$$$$$

Anyone have any ideas (or even have the relevant cone???)
