Car for Spinnaker Track

I have a spinnaker car that I want to put on the track on the mast. See picture of the new car below. What orientation does this go on the mast? I'm assuming the ring is the top of the car. Is that correct?

I've seen them rigged both ways, but more commonly with the ring at the top.

Thanks. That's what I thought was probably correct. I need to pull off the stopper on the end of the track to put the new one on, so I didn't want to do this twice .
