sheet bags, bottle holders, etc. in the cockpit. Cleats? Suction cups? Bolts thru grommets?

Here's my cockpit:

Re: Best Way To Hang...

Velcro strips work pretty good for stuff like that and can allow bags, etc. to be removed and stowed easily.

Re: Best Way To Hang...

Little bungee loops can work, too.

I have for several years hung a multi-pocket bag thingie from small plastic hooks in my companionway from this company: Blue Performance - Boating Equipment

I like their products (I have no personal interest) and if you balk at the "marine" price, you could simply sew something up or modify a carpenter's apron.

Re: Best Way To Hang...

Maybe 3M outdoors double sided tape, if you want to avoid modifications permanent.

Re: Best Way To Hang...

Two lessons:

If you buy those blue mesh bags be warned that the suction cups are bloody useless. I haven't tried 3M's tape, but I may do so this year.

And be careful with bug spray; it will rot the mesh and leave blue sticky bits everywhere.

You can guess how I know those two things.

You can buy velcro tape with a self adhesive back.

Yes, the suction cups indeed suck, but not in a good way.

You can use loops of small diameter line or bungee, however, or blunted cuphooks.

Don't ask how I know to blunt them..

Thanks s/v Alchemy, but I've already sewn the bags. Just need to hang them. I got industrial strenght self-adhesive velcro today, and will try it out tomorrow if the temp gets above 40deg here in Ohio.
