I just bought 100' of 3/8 low stretch halyard from them for about $0.68 /foot. No, it's not the best, but we're not racers. If the mainsail stays up, it's all OK.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. It's hard to economize on running rigging unless most of your time is spent dockside. One less shoreside dinner perhaps?

Many arborist supply shops carry "marine" rope at much lower prices than chandleries do. Like Bartlett for example, but there are plenty of others as well.
