Anyone know of a windlass with a left hand chain gypsy

I have an Oyster 406 that has the chain outlet on the port side of the anchor/chain locker lid. Originally it must have had a LH gypsy windlass. The current windlass which now needs replacing has a RH gypsy and the chain goes slightly diagonally to the LH bow roller. Whilst replacing the windlass I'd prefer to have a straight pull on the chain.

Anyone know of a windlass that can be configured with a LH gypsy? 1kW 10mm chain.

I've currently got 9mm chain so will need to replace with either 8 or 10mm.

Wow the Lighthouse is a thing of beauty, thank you.

I should have mentioned a few further details:

The windlass is to go on a mounting shelf in a below deck chain locker. It is to replace a failed Lewmar unit for which the parts to repair are expensive and on a long lead time. I need it available in the U.K. for installation in the next 2 weeks.

I'm hoping it'll cost about £1,000.

Current favourite is a Lofrans Calypso but I may need to make 'adjustments' to the locker lid to alter the chain feed. Hence wanting to get a LH gypsy.

Thank you for the information. I'm following up on these and on the Lofrans Cayman (which I now understand can also be configured as left hand gypsy).

Ideal Windlass Co makes some of the finest windlasses available. They are located in Rode Island, USA. You can check with them, or search their web pages to see if the wildcat can be reversed on this model (H1F or G).

I've been rebuilding and selling them for about 15 years, and I would swear by them. There rugged and simple, all castings of bronze or stainless except for the covers. This is an older model (H1F or G) and has a cast aluminum cover. The only thing I've had to fix on the windlass is the seals that have started to leak because of inactivity. We have sold at least a hundred of this model and never had to rebuild a motor, but not that it would be a problem, any company that rebuilds starters can handle the job.

I have an older one now that needs to be refurbished, (cleaned up and painted.) New, this model sells for about $3400.00 plus shipping. I would like to get $1200.00 OBO for it. If your interested PM me with your phone number and the best time to call. I am in Los Angeles.

Quick sells a windlass that can be fed from either side. The 1400 watt ought to do for your boat size.
