Just an update;

I bought a second ceramic heater, and we brought our down sleeping bags. Our AC system was not up to current code, with a single breaker. I tried both heaters on low, but it blew the breaker. I had a new Bluesea AC panel and such to upgrade the AC system, so that project moved up on the list and we completed the installation and wiring during the weekend.

Interesting to note, that the second heater, a $30.00 unit from Lowes, put out more heat than the older unit. I always thought that they all put out the same heat, perhaps it was just a better fan in the unit, but the single heater and the down sleeping bags kept up toasty throughout the night, and we can now run two if needed. So no Mr. Heater for us - but I would still like to install an Espar type heater for heat on the hook.

Out government got involved with this heater discussion. In the typical federal response this was published:
I hope this is the short answer. I think it says yes, you can.

Failure is most often times a temporary condition........
Giving up is what makes it permanent.
