Whale Gusher Galley Pump - mount on back of bulkhead?

My boat came with a whale gusher galley pump mounted inside the galley cabinet on a small platform. The platform isn't designed very well, and the leverage of the pump keeps pulling the screws out.

If I understand the configuration of the latest version of the pump (MK3), you can "face mount" the pump to the back side of the cabinet, with nothing underneath it. If so, this would be a much better option for me. Plus I could relocate the existing pump to the head, in place of the existing "babyfoot", which I'm not a fan of.

Can anyone confirm that the newest version can be mounted against the back of the cabinet only?

Yes. I just mounted two on the inside of the galley cabinet. Drill 3 holes, cut slot for pedal, done.
Measure twice cut once.

There is a lot of torque on the pump mount as the force to move the lever is not small. Any possibility you can through bolt the pump fasteners?? Have my pumps through bolted to the face of the galley cabinet and they flex the 1/2" plywood. Hopefully not going to cause any problems but can see the plywood move slightly with each stroke.
