Watermakers

Having read the forums, it seems like the SPECTRA is a bit of a standout unit for water makers. We wont want a large capacity unit as we carry 600lt. and have salt to the sinks but still keen to install one before we cross the 7 seas. question is...do we buy one here in OZ or maybe USA.?Any advise would be real handy...P.K.

Don't qoute me on it. But off the top of my head it should be less expensive to buy it here in the states. But then won't you need it for your crossing over to the states? Either way, what ever port you are in, anywhere in the world, when you are ready to buy let me know first and I'll make personally sure to put you in touch with the right person.

I am currently setting up my RO DIY desalination unit, almost ready to go.

However over the weekend I tried my alternative watermaker, a Still.

Two litres of gasoline (using a Kipor 2kva ) produced 2 litres of fresh water from salt water.

So I tried it again with a sugar and yeast mixture with fresh water, aged for 5 days and produced 2 litres of 40 % vodka alcohol with 2 litres of gasoline.

Works for me.
And it isn't a still, it is my alternative watermaker.
