Re: Watermaker Installation

Ok guys had another fiddle with the watermaker today.

First off relocated the electrical connection to a larger wire run from the house batteries (from 6mm2 to 50mm2 now that outa do it) still running 6mm2 for just over 1 meter from this point to the feed pumps (4 feet for you Tellie) and still combining that run to the two feed pumps at source (cant get any more wire on the island im on at moment) so maybe some more improvement possible.

cant measure amps over 10 on my meter so just the volts are up from 12.1 to 12.5 at the pumps.

Remeasured actual product water and now getting a more respectable 33 liters an hour. According to Monte thats about what hes getting on his 60 liter spectra so maybe not that bad for the higher salt content med?

Still alot lower than your talking though Tellie ie 8.8 gph vs the 14 you are mentioning (and the italian's spec of 13)

Pressure at the gauge also a little better. before was peaking at 150 psi and dropping to 100 on the cylinder stroke. Now 170 at the peak 110 on the drop. Both are still a bit higher than the 110 you mentioned Tellie?

More detailed pic's attached and the installation plan

Thanks for the help and let me know anything else you can think of please.
