So the
water pump was crazy loud and
Jabsco seemed agreeable about a warranty claim given my concerns
voiced in another thread.
But I disconnected the
water hoses and set it up so it pumped through short hoses into and out of a bucket. Ran like a dream. Beautiful. As quiet as I could reasonably expect.
Then I reconnected the hoses from the
water tanks and to my pressurized system.... it ran quietly, until water reached the
pump and pressure was restored, when it again made a hell of a
noise. Just to be sure, I again disconnected the system and then reprimed it. The same result.
The
pump is good for a 10' priming distance. It is at least that, from the pump to the bottom of my water tank, though admittedly maybe a foot or two beyond.
I asked around. Some suggested the pump is too far from the water tank. Others that there might be a leak in the system allowing air in.
Appreciate it if anyone has a thought; it might save my marriage.
PS.
Water pump is a
Jabsco PAR-Max 3.5, model 32600-0092.
