Water maker help please .

I've got a galley maid 300 mini water maker on board . It's all plumbed in but I've not used it since I've had the boat . On the side there was a plastic tray with 4 ( I think) cylinders soaking in what could have been water . See bad picture.
I can't find anything on maintaining this water maker or anywhere with parts . Any ideas if they are out of it ?
One thing for sure they look salted up .
What do I need to do to get this $4500 water maker working ?
