Water bladder to big?

Would this water bladder work in this compartment or to big of a risk shafing?

Bulkheads look kinda weak IMO
Also hard to judge blatters capacity much less mention of boats sz/tonnage?

Also IMO one needs to insulate/cushion barrier so friction of rubbing doesn’t cause leakage. (Carpet is best, or at least carpet padding)

Yes I’m biased against soft blatters, hard tanks and Jerry cans my preference to avoid inevitable drama blatters bring...
Seen peeps capsize dinks sinking them when using dink ferrying full blatters instead of simpler safer act of bumpingung dock to fill water tanks.
As well as hogging water spicket filled 50g blatters at water spicket rush hour (first thing in morning) when unwritten rule at marina was 2cans and go/don’t tie up and create wait for others waiting that time of day...

Heard stories of people getting underway with blatters and encounter knockdown causing shift of blatters so extreme cockpits filling so fast overflowing down open companionways/hatches and sinking said boat too fast to dawn a life jacket much less deploy liferaft and secure the mayday ditch bag...experiences much like offshore fishing middle of nite and person on watch negligence to see ocean liner wake topple over transom and sinking boat much same as fore mentioned...

Reward isn’t worth risk when it comes to soft blatters IMO, water maker much more practical and safer...

Size is not the problem there, but shape is. When the bladder is filled, it is roughly a cylinder shape. In a V or Wedge-shaped compartment, it needs to lay with the ends fore and aft. You may get a clearer picture by taking the bladder out on the dock and filling it. If you use it in that compartment you would never be able to use the full capacity. And it would have creases which might become stress points that fail early.

Since there appears to be good access, that spot might be a good candidate for an integral water tank.

My guess is it will get taller and narrower when filled, so may not be as bad as it looks. Bare wood is a bit abrasive though. As mentioned fitting a V shape it will have a good kink in it. But heck, it may last a long time. There are plenty of V shaped tanks available or rectangular though (put a plywood bottom under). But it appears you are comitted at this point and don't need a vent with the bladder etc...
