Handling the vent can be troublesome. There are some non vented units that now use air as the condenser instead of water. Beko does one.

this side of the pond, its getting very difficult to get a vented combo. very difficult indeed.

You may not want to spend the money but Magnum makes a 120/240 inverter in a single box. Pure sine wave and 24 volt is one option. I use one on 48 volts. You don't have to stack boxes to get 240 volt. You can stack to get higher output. If I want, I can run my 50 gallon house water heater with it and still have power for a 2 door frig, freezer and lights. I run my 240v anchor winch and other equipment in lieu of running a generator or having a generator on one of my mains.
