Waeco/Dometic refrigerator

The fan works, I have a second fridge in the same breaker that is still working. I has a danfoss compressor with a controller (101N0212). Can the controller be repaired?

Not sure on repairing, I believe Richard Kollman will test some of them though.
May be worth contacting him for advice on where to proceed, which test procedure to follow etc.

Not a lot of information . Is this a fridge or a ice box conversion unit . It may be the controller but there are a lot of things you can do before you condemn it .

Regards John.

John,

Its a split unit with a box that is built in the galley (top loading). I have a bunch of number that I got from compressor. BD35F - 101Z - 0200 - Dometic 921044422 -model number 1004934 - made 3/10/2008

I have a second unit, is it ok to switch controllers to see if it will work?

Sure if it is no trouble you can switch out the controller . Make sure to mark were you took of the connectors so as not to get them mixed up.

So you are saying that the fan is running but you think the compressor is not ? These compressors run very quietly , some times it is hard to tell if they are running . Do you think it is not running because the box is not getting cold ?

Regards John.

Re: Waeco/Dometic refrigerator

Initial symptom was box is not getting cold, when I took a look below the second thing was that the fan was running for about a minute, stopped and the on again. It continues to cycle until I turn the thermostat or breaker off.

The other system next to it, the compressor feel warm to the touch while the malfunctioning system does not.

I will try to get more information this weekend. thank you for your help.

Disconnect the fan from the controller and see if the compressor starts to run normally again , if it does , replace the fan .

Re: Waeco/Dometic refrigerator

Here is the latest. I switched the controller and the compressor is working so far. box is getting cold.

It turns out I have the 101N0220 not the 212. the 220 has a heat exchanger in the back and has a metal case around it.

I have googled 101N0220 but no one vendor carries the 220. Any suggestions where to buy the 220 controller?

Hi

While installing controller the resistance in the thermostat connector came apart. It came with original Waeco/Dometic unit. I forgot to take a picture of the resistance code. Do you sell this part or know where to get it?
