Re: Type of shower pump which can cope with hair?

By the way, I have gone to using these at home. Absolutely amazing at grabbing hair. and easier to clean than a strainer in the hose.

Seriously, this.

Re: Type of shower pump which can cope with hair?

Don't fool yourself. Unless you are bald and have no pubic hair --- you too are contributing to the "hair issue."

We have gulper which can go directly grey water tank or over and out. It's a beautiful thing. Sinks are CP'd per Peggy recommendation regularly (as in once a month vs once a week) and putting CP down the shower drain gets soap and scum buildup from washer/dryer and shower right out of grey water tank. It's a beautiful solution for all drains.

The Whale Gulper is a beautiful thing as well. We live aboard. I am the plumber. I am the long haired lady.

CP?
I know there are issues with commercial products on here but please let us know the name of this product. Otherwise it just looks like a game of "I've got a secret". I know this is not anyone's intention but it is frustrating to leave viable products out of the knowledge base. No one seems to have a problem naming the type of anchor they use for anchoring, why would they have a problem mentioning a drain clearing product?

C.P. is the actual name of the product. See the link for details.

CP is great, but I don't think it will dissolve hair though

Just installed a gulper, call it the bj pump, got rid of the strainer. So far has a happy ending.
