troubleshooting my frigoboat

Having a problem with my refer system. I have a duplex frigoboat system (500 series) for refer and freezer. Had low refrigerant, got a guy to fill it, week later the alarm light on the control panel came on and will not go off. Checked the cooling water pump, flow was low so I replaced it. Plenty of cooling water now. Tried the troubleshooting tips in the manual, only thing it said for the red alarm light is overheating due to low water flow. Light is constant, comes on when system is energized, compressor does not start. No local frigoboat rep, called one and asked questions, they could not help. anyone have any ideas ???

Possibly the heat exchanger was some plugged passages. Remove the ends and run a brass rod through it?

Also try the forum at rparts.com : phorum - Technical Forum

Possible the guy may have overfilled your system. That will cause the compressor to stall. But ask an expert, not me!

How is the cooling water flow measured? If the flow is good, but the alarm stays on, there may be a problem with the flow measuring device. Or if it's an overheating alarm, the temp sensor might be faulty.
