I have a tropikool 40 refrigeration unit, the compressor does not run, I found a fuse blown that was on a printed circuit board. replacing it was no help.
does anyone know where I can get parts or trouble shooting info. the company is no longer in business.

BOEING 1, Your best hope for solving your electrical trouble is finding someone with a manual or at least an electrical drawing. You might try Hot Wire Marine Electrical as I think they may have been a distributor for Tropikool machines.

AvXcel Inc who designed and marketed the Tropikool 40 icebox conversion refrigeration unit was only in business for a short time. In theory the Stirling compressor with friendly CO2 refrigerant showed promos of performance and efficiency. With all of the present refrigerants to eventually be banned the trend is moving to CO2 refrigeration. Large food chain stores are presently installing fixed CO2 refrigeration but it still does not appear mobile refrigeration for boats is ready for marine applications yet.
