Toilet Paper - Poll

I have a basic manual Jabsco head and have been using the regular single ply toilet paper. This stuff is just crap and requires a baby wipe afterwards.

What are others using?

I am going to require bagging for the new extra wipes, which people are being convinced by media that they need.

Whatever brand name "Septic Safe" paper is on the shelf at the market. Works well enough in our manual head and our electric head with lectrasan

Same as a large chunk of the world and have a little wash Shower head is right there so easy peasy, much more hygienic, nothing to block the head.

Paper users must be in the minority in the world? Source of great mirth in many places anyway.

Bagging is the way, nothing worse that have to clear those pipes.

Conachair makes a good point regarding the shower, I'd never thought of that.

Someone made a good point to me about dry paper and wiping your butt.

She asked, "If you accidently got s**t on your hand, would you just wipe it off with a piece of toilet paper and then say, that's good enough"?

single ply, but we have a Raritan PHII!!! Anyone who wants to use double ply is welcome to it, but bag it. When I lived abroad I learned about bidets - just not for me. Didn't momma learn ya to wipe propurlee?

Surprised at the number of baggers so far. Is this just a way to prevent guests from ever coming to visit you on the boat again?

I see no reason to "bag" and its annoys me when I see it enforced. Companies like Jabsco specifically state that their heads can handle TP.

I use either one ply ( soft one ply) or very cheap very lightweight two ply, usually from the discount stores. I avoid the fancy heavy ply , quilted , given that Ive never had a blocked toilet in 20 years FROM TP. Ive had guests but down other things thats caused issues alright.

as to sh%t or you hands, what is the issue, I wash my hands after using the head, dont you. Ever worked on a farm, I did as a kid, Ive been covered in cow-sh7t from head tgo toe at times, Its not as toxic as you might thing,

Bad , western civilisation, neither in the west or civilised .

Anyone who has lived aboard and entertained guests will be a supporter of the wipes and baggy set. Worked for us for years, so much so we are a little nonplussed when ashore at someones house and they don't have a similar system. Much more hygenic, both for the next user of the bathroom and yourself. Phil

The use issue I have with wipes is that inevitably a squeamish quests tries to flush the wipe, bad bad news

Raritan PHII, regular grocery store cheap paper and have never had a clog!! In fact even when working at a charter base the only clogs I ever had to fix were damn near half a roll of paper at once, or chicken bones wrapped in paper.....go figure.

I have adopted a pump while in use procedure too though.

I don't get it. What, supposed to wash your butt hole with soap and water or baby wipes every time??

You wash your hands because they come in contact with food. Required hygene.

If someone uses their butt in process of eating french fries, then maybe this obsession with clean butt makes sense. Otherwise toilet paper is plenty "good enough" for proper hygene.

Am I some sort of animal for doing it this way? (oops, animals don't even wipe do they?)
