Technautics vs. Sea Frost

Sailors,

I am looking to replace the refrigeration on my 36 ft cutter. It is not a huge space, but I am not certain of the exact volume. I will likely re insulate first since I have not had enough punishment lately.

Does anyone have an informed opinion / comparison on the two brands above?

I will be powering with wind and solar.

Regards,

Todd

Re: Technautics vs. Sea Frost

Todd, To determine what company to buy from first you must decide on size and type ice box refrigeration conversion system that will provide the results you are looking for. If refrigeration system is too large it will consume too much daily energy, if too small it will not provide your desired results. First select the correct capacity refrigeration unit for your box’s intended daily heat load then shop for correct manufacture and best price. The slide show on my web site will guide you through decision making process at http://www.kollmann-marine.com. Technautics and SeaFrost and others have excellent systems for the right installation applications.
