I can attest to the high quality of Aero Tec Laboratories custom bladders. They built mine in 2004 and it has been flawless ever since.

For about $290 you can get the B126 tank from Ronco with three fittings attached. It will fit your bow and is 30 gallons. Ronco is your best bet.

Got some quotes. $990 for a custom. $400+ for standard tanks that will almost but not quite fit.

Looks like it'll be integral tanks and careful application of food grade epoxy (by my girlfriend).

I'll run it through a couple carbon filters to hopefully catch any deadly (to me) amines that leach.

Or maybe I can find a suitable polyester gelcoat that's potable water approved.

Like I said, rotomold tooling is not cheap, so they automatically assume a custom one-off tank is out of the question.

You will find the same with a custom bladder from ATL. They will likely quote it for you, but expect the price to be on the order of the custom stainless tank.


Only affordable option is integral fiberglass tanks.

Sure, that's a lot easier with planar tank sides. It will require some creativity and tooling to make a parabolic shape but it can be done.

Wasn't there a DIY howTo thread on doing that? Can't find it now.

I would definitely want to be able to remove any tank, is the integral / epoxy idea actually using the boat's hull for two of the tank's walls?

Many built in tanks, both water and fuel, use the hull for tank walls.
