Skinfittings

So here's my situation: I've just spent the last 2 days hauling out a ganky skungy heap'o'***** no-name brand Jabsco knockoff in order to fit a Vetus TMW. They can eat anything except hoseclamps- even sanitary products and wet-wipes. And they have an OEM 3/4" outlet. The boat is plumbed with a 3/4" Blake valve, as well as a 1.5" Blake outlet.
Do you think the smaller intake will have a strainer on it, because I'm feeling that fighting 1.5" pipe round difficult bends is going to make me a Grumpy Person, and I may well just redo the system with 3/4" pipe!

The intake should have a strainer, make sure it is above the waterline if possible. personally Id leave the output pipe as big as practical. but the TMW, I think is specced down to 19mm output
