Shower drain pan

HI everyone.

On my Beneteau Oceanis 40 the shower drain pain can be lifted out of the floor to access the bilge (the shower bilge is completely separate from the rest of the boat bilge and this is the only way to look down there). Last summer i noticed water getting in the bilge under the shower after... showering. Using a small camera i have noticed that the leak is prob coming from when a person steps on the space and creates a gap between the pan and the floor.

It looked like beneteau used some type of glue or gasket to seal this (though not well). My question... what time of sealant should i use here? I may need to access the space some day again (though hopefully not) and dont want it too permanent, or maybe i dont have a choice.

Any thoughts?

Re: Shower drain pan

Sikaflex 291 or 3M 4200, check surface materials, prep, temps etc.

There are others similarly "weak" bonding strength I'm sure.

Def not 5200
