Setting Up Engine-Driven Freezer Unit

Hi all,

We are building a 40ft Centre Cockpit which we picked up a year ago (someones uncompleted project).

It has a professionally built stainless steel freezer with brine tanks on 3 sides. We need to buy an engine driven compressor. On our other boat our freezer is driven by a Sanden 508 and it seems to work reasonably well in that installation.

We were looking a purchasing a Sanden 508 for the new yacht as well. Does anyone have any suggestions. What other brands of piston driven compressors are being used to cool your freezers?

Cheers.
Sue & Morris.
