Looks good. I was basing mine on the C-head... Now you're making me rethink adding internal riser vents. Is your lid a simple solid screw or snap on, or does it have a vent connector? Are you pushing the air through actively with your fan?

Bin is a repurposed plastic barrel with snap on lid. Lid snaps on and has a metal band that clamps around it. Vent risers end near lid (compost never gets anywhere near that high). Fan drafts (not pushes) via "y" in tube that passes thru lid. All a bit big for a boat system but maybe some ideas you can use.

Batch type system. Bins are exchaged about every 6 months and left to finish for a few months...that part could be a challenge on a boat.

Pic attached, but vent system not visible in pic.

Re: Self Designed Large Capacity Compost Head

here is what the inside looks like. I just have a 3+ gal bucket with a wag bag(cause I had some handy) and the urine diverter goes to a one gallon water jug.

I will try to find a 2+ gal jug, the long refrigerator kind, for the pee. If this is too small, will plumb a hose from diverter to a portable 5 gal tank stationed in the bilge, below the shower sump. This current set p works so well that it may just stay like this. I put a drop of Simple Solution urine odor destroyer in the diverter after each use.

Head smells fresh and holding tanks free

Ocean Girl - Looks good! What kind of ply and paint did you use? Did you make your own pee diverter?
