Seeking Owner of this Photo
Someone emailed this photo to me last night, saying he'd found it on the Cruisersforum, but doesn't remember where. As he put it, "I was looking for advise on repairing a leaky window...got side tracked and went down a rabbit hole and found it...I have no idea where."
Eventually I MAY actually finish the badly needed revision/update of my book and this photo is such a hoot that I would LOVE to include it appropriately--and hopefully cleverly--captioned and properly credited. But with only the photo and what I've told you here to go on, not even how old it is, I don't have a clue even where to start looking for it. So if any of you can help me track down the thread it was posted to, that should tell us who posted it...and from that I may be able to find out where THEY got it.
Thanks for any help!

Peg,
A friend was in the daysailing business with his 56ft sloop. Was always frustrated when guests did not pump his manual Skippers enough to clear them.
He brought all of the hoses out from behind the bulhead to be exposed to view, and changed them to CLEAR hose.
No more problems. Honest!!

Re: Seeking owner of this photo
Oh, that's wonderful...I love it! Bet he didn't have very many repeat guests though.
While I have the floor again for a moment...I've already emailed the poster of the photo. Meanwhile, y'all may want to spend a little time studying it, 'cuz there some WONDERFUL little details in it..a kinked vent line...a circular vent line off one of the vented loops... Some real time and effort went into creating it. If it was photoshopped, it's a VERY good job, 'cuz all the shadows, the reflection in the shiny bulkhead are in the right places...the hose clamps and y-valves don't appear to be oriented exactly the same way...very close, but not quite. So whether it was or wasn't photoshopped, it's a real work of art...and I'm dying to find the "artist."

Truly, the Frankenbog.
I have no idea how that is even supposed to work. It looks like a prop from a Terry Gilliam movie.
I've toyed with throwing a Y-valve into my Lavac to use it as a shower sump pump, but it doesn't call for half that amount of hose...

Re: Seeking Owner of this Photo
Wow, a fortune tied up in hose clamps, selector valves and tees. Probably costs more in plumbing than invested in the head.
kind regards,

Re: Seeking Owner of this Photo
I think Rube Goldberg designed that system for his boat.

Re: Seeking Owner of this Photo
I did find the owner, and it IS a real system, designed by the PO. It's also a gorgeous boat...the PO did a beautiful job as you'll see in these photos: RODIPONER
I just hope he didn't get anywhere near as "creative" with the rest of the systems as he did with the sanitation system!
