Sea water pump input from shaft seal

My boat came with no sea water in the galley , at the moment I am installing sea water in the galley and on deck fed by an electric pump.
At the beginning I thought to use the shame intake as the Engine but last year I change my shaft seal to this kind (sea photo)
You think will be a problem if I use the shaft seal as an intake ?
