Sanitary Hosé 2"

Hi, I am searching for a 2" sanitary hose too buy. All hoses I find is only 11/2", 38mm.

This 2" hose is for empty the holding tank. As far as I concern there are only advantages with a larger dimension for this purpose! The connections in both ends is 2"!

Any ideas?

Regards /Martin

Re: Sanitary Hosé 2"

The ISO standard for waste tank inlet and discharge is 1.5"...and so is the hose barb on all deck pumpout fittings. Jabsco macerator pumps have a 1.5" inlet fitting with a 1" discharge fitting. And btw, the OUTER diameter (OD) is always the nominal size for fittings... the INNER diameter (ID) is always the stated nominal size for hose.

So I wonder if your hoses really are 2", or if you're making the mistake of assuming that OD is the nominal size of your hose. If your fittings really do need 2" hoses, I suspect your only viable solution would be 1.5"-2" reducing adapters.

Re: Sanitary Hosé 2"

Hi and thanks for reply.

I have now found a hose from a swedish dealer. This hose is 51/64 mm (inner/outer diameter). And it is confimed that it is a Sanitary hose for boats!

So this one in actually 2" ID! This hose "showed up" first when I contacted them via E-mail.

Pretty expensive too, Euro 130 per meter

Regard!

/Martin

Wow! Expensive. $64 US $ Per foot? I think I'd be using normal 2" hose.

OUCH! In that case, I would definitely go with 1.5" and reducing adapters!

Used this when I replaced mine. Shipping might be a bit much.

Price and shipping might be a bit less direct from Headhunter in FL You'll find their contact info on their website here HeadHunter

Fwiw, this appears to be the same hose that Vetus and Raritan are also selling under their own brand names. It's made in Italy... However, Headhunter seems to be only one who has it in 2". List price for the Raritan 1.5" is about $13.00 USD If you decide to use 1.5" and adapters, Raritan does have distributors in Europe who MIGHT have it. You might also look for 2" outside the marine market (RV/Caravan maybe) under other brand names.
