Re: Salt Water Foot Pump Problems

Very possible that the piston has broken. If there are 2 white plastic parts when disassembled, the piston is broken. It breaks so cleanly it is difficult to tell. Happened to us.

Re: Salt Water Foot Pump Problems

Hi
We have just experienced the very same issue. After stripping the pump and putting its back together, we discovered that if we unclipped the outlet pipe from the tap, the pump would operate again. We have a neoperl vandal proof filter fitted to the end of our tap, and I believe this has become blocked with scale or something else. I have ordered a filter key to remove the filter, but have to wait for that a to arrive before I can confirm that it is the filter. Worth a look if you are able to.

Good luck

True, not really a piston,
But looks like one. It is the plastic part that connects the plunger, spring and diaphragm.
