Sailboat Bathroom Waterproofing

Hello all. We need update our bathroom systems and we're not sure about exactly how to waterproof everything. Are there special coatings for the wood and how are the shower pans and protected. Is there some sort of rubber moulding around the wall at the floor? Seems like stuff has been ripped up and we need to make sure it's all protected good before operating the shower. Any direction would be great. We just purchased the boat and just not sure where to look. Basic internet searches have turned up empty. Thanks.

That is about the largest understatement I have seen on CF…

The question is pretty much along the lines of "I can't find my keys - where are they?".

Fishbait,

If you can, post some pictures, it makes visualizing so much easier. Failing that, telling us the age, type, and size of vessel helps, too.
