Recommendation for replacement water heater

I'm planning to replace the old water heater in my boat because the bottom appears to be nearly rusted out and therefore I don't trust the rest of it. The existing water heater runs on 110VAC and also has a heat exchanger for the engine. It's an upright cylindrical type, about 6 gallons. I'm thinking of replacing it with one of the cube-shaped models, like Atwood, and upgrading to a larger size. Does anyone have any positive or negative opinions/experience with various brands? Seaward products seem to have a bad rep due to corrosion. Also, how about recommendations on where to buy a new water heater at a discount? I'm in MD near Annapolis.

You basically have two choice; Spend around 300 to 400 for a 6 gal aluminum tank model like Attwood etc., or spend around 700 and up for a stainless tank like isotemp etc. The low priced models will last 5 years or longer and the later probably over 10 years.

They seem to all go eventually. The regular old ~$250 Seaward(alum) (the cube shaped ones) seem to last for 7-10 years. Probably the best bargain out there unless it's extremely hard to get out. I've had those last 13 years and still going once.... stainless is poor in a damp warm environment (inside the insulation) so not sure they are any better.
