Thanks to all who responded. I guess I will try the easy way first. Disconnect the intake hose, clean it, and see what happens. If the problem continues, then a rebuild kit to stop the potential leak back through the piston ring. Anyone know what kit that might be? Does it have a number, a name? Thanks again. George

It does: Raritan PHII and PHEII Repair kit with U-cup piston seal (PHRKII)*-*Raritan* PHRKII - Raritan Repair Parts - Marine Heads - Plumbing/Ventilation - Boatersland Marine

Google is your friend :-)

BTW, don't forget to change the way you flush. Not running water routinely thru the inlet hose and, therefore, thru the holes at the top of the bowl is asking for trouble.
