We have used the Xintrex system over the years and found it very problematic. We had many false alarms and found that eventually we had to replace the
sensor about once every year to year and a half. Once the sensor starts to fail, it gives false alarms and your propane to the
stove is cut off completely even though there are no
leaks. We had to make sure we always had a spare sensor until we replaced it with another unit. The sensors aren't
cheap. We have spoken to other full time cruisers that had the same problem. In addition, many of our
cleaning products would set it off, it was under the
galley cabinet near the
