Well as I stated from the very beginning. To lubricate use OLIVE OIL. To clean use VINEGAR. It will do the job and it is cheap and is usualy found on most boats.

Your choice.

Re: PAR Manual Toilet Lubrication

Irish and HopCar,
Thanks again for the info. I'll stay off the hard stuff for now, but it's good to know that option is out there. I've used muriatic acid to give copper flashing an aged looked so I'm a bit familiar with what it does to metals. Not something to fool around with haphazardly. I'll let you know how the plunger/cylinder lube job goes.

Re: PAR Manual Toilet Lubrication

Looks like the base valve gasket and joker valves both needed replacing! SuperLube seems to be the all-purpose lubricant I've been looking for as it does the job for the toilet as well as a dielectric grease for the newly replaced shorepower plug on my boat. Fortunately I've found the major service kit for under $60 and was able to put it all together in a few hours (including research and run time for parts!). It's nice to have a head that doesn't fill-up from the holding tank!
