Noisy seawater fridge pump

I think our seawater cooled fridge pump may have sucked in some debris. It was making an unusual noise and when i checked the in line filter between the seacock and the pump it was very dirty and had some small lumps of fishbones. I cleaned the filter but the pump still isnt running normally.
Whats the next step? force water with a hose back through the water outlet ? take the pump apart? its a Frigoboat pump, Im not sure if its servicable.
Thanks for any advice

Re: Noisy seawater fridge pump

If yours is a centrifugal pump you may have some air in it. If so, try loosening the outlet hose to vent the air. I recently had a centrifugal pump which was not pumping at all, due to an air lock.
