Mix Spectra sc1 with glycol?

We're getting ready to leave the boat for 8 months down in Mexico and having trouble finding 100 percent polypropelene glycol to use as storage chemical for the cape horn watermaker. We have plenty of sc1 onboard but would prefer glycol as the sc1 is only good for 6 months. We have the -50 glycol onboard (25%) so I'm wondering if it would work to throw a little glycol in the sc1 mixture and call it good for the 9 months. Any thoughts? Tellie??

Re: Mix Spectra sc1 with glycol?

Do not mix the two. A gooey mess you will have. Also do not use -100. The -50 you have is perfect mixed with the fresh water in your Cape Horn Extreme. If you want more in-depth help just give me a call.
