Identify this galley pump??

Looking to identify this pump and how it works. The leather fits between the two disks--the holed disk is on the bottom ??. My guess is--1. when the lever is pushed down to bring water into the cylinder--the water flows past the leather (which I don't have and have never seen) 2. when one raises the lever the lever seals against the solid disk and allows water out the spout. There is a one way valve in the base. I bought a leather from Lehmans but needs to be modified and I think it is too thick. Any thoughts?? Make my own leather out of thinner stock? It looks simple but...

Re: Identify this galley pump??

modified the leather until it was a donut the same size as the bore (1 3/8") and cleared most of the holes and sat on the stepped washer ledge (about 7/8 to 1") and it worked. Will make another with smoother edges.
Would still like to know the make. Thanks

Re: Identify this galley pump??

It superficially resembles the WS 63 which has been made for 20 years but predates it by at least 20 years. I know there used to be quite a few around at one time--this is the second one I have installed. They are really overbuilt and heavy chromed bronze. Would like to own a couple more for my new to me boat.
